The Escape APIM is for the 9 speaker system which doesn't utilize the DSP. This is because my focus has the sony 10 speaker system which has the subwoofer and as such utilizes a DSP to control EQ. Got Navigation, kept my SiriusXM subscription (SiriusXM is not within the APIM), Bluetooth works fine, steering wheel controls all work fine as well as the centre dash controls (Sound, Settings, seek, volume, etc).Īfter using it a few weeks I want to part with it since considering I'm an audiophile, the lack of control over Bass/Mid/Treble is not worth it to get Nav. Swapped the APIM and uploaded MFT 3.7.11 to the unit and popped in Nav A5 SD Card. This APIM is for the MFT with Navigation for the systems with 9 speaker audio system. I recently acquired second hand through a buyer on focusfanatics an Escape APIM (Accessory protocol interface module) (Found attached on the back of the 8inch Myford touch screens) which is from a salvage. I am frequently on as I'm a Ford Focus 2012 driver (User turbonium911 on ) If anyone is interested in adding factory Navigation to their 2013 and up Ford Escapes shoot me a PM.
